Bengaluru: Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have finished the year 2019 as the number one batsman and bowler respectively in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Rankings.
In the updated rankings released on Monday (December 23), Kohli is on top of the ICC rankings for ODI batsmen with rating points of 887. Kohli’s teammate and India’s limited overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma is second with 873 points.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam is third in the list followed by Faf du Plessis (South Africa) and New Zealand’s Ross Taylor.
Kohli and Rohit are the only two Indian batsmen in the top-10 of ODI rankings for batsmen. India finished on a high as they ended the year with a 2-1 ODI series win over the West Indies in Cuttack on Sunday (December 22).
In the bowlers list, Bumrah, who is currently out of action due to injury, held on to the top position with 785 rating points. He is the lone Indian in top-10 of the ODI bowlers list.
New Zealand paceman Trent Boult is in the second position followed by Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman and Kagiso Rabada of South Africa. At the fifith place is Australia’s Pat Cummins, who recently became the costliest overseas player at IPL auction. Cummins was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 15.5 crore in the IPL 2020 auction.
