Rohit Sharma, who hit a century against Pakistan at the ICC World Cup 2019, was posed a question about Pakistan's crisis and he had a witty reply to it

Manchester: Pakistan failed in all three departments to surrender to India in their key ICC World Cup 2019 clash at Old Trafford, Manchester, on Sunday (June 16). It was a massive win for Virat Kohli and his men with Rohit Sharma being the chief architect of the success.

Later, addressing the media, Rohit answered questions on the match, about his 140-run knock, the team’s domination among other issues. However, he faced a tricky question when asked on how to bail Pakistan batsmen out of the current crisis.

“As a colleague, what would you suggest to Pakistan batsmen? How they can come out from this crisis?” a journalist asked Indian vice-captain.

Rohit had a witty reply, “If I ever become Pakistan’s coach, I will definitely let you know. What can I say right now”. This evoked laughter from both India and Pakistan journalists in the room.

On the atmosphere at the ground and support for both teams, Rohit said, “It was always going to be like that. We knew that, when you play a game against Pakistan, it's always going to be like that. But I think the crowd was evenly poised, 51% Indian, 49% Pakistan, I would say (laughter).

“The crowd, they come here for entertainment, and probably we were really good today as a team, and we wanted to get those two points, having washed out our previous game (against New Zealand). So we were quite keen to get onto the park and display our skills because of late we've been in good form. So we just wanted to continue and have a full game.”
