Bengaluru: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly turned 47 today (July 8). Cricketers and fans took to social media to convey their wishes to the ‘Prince of Calcutta’.
Ganguly, who is one of the finest leaders in Indian cricket, is often credited with turning the fortunes of Indian team while playing abroad. He and John Wright were instrumental in helping India win Tests overseas.

Not only was Ganguly a fine captain, he also groomed youngsters like Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Mohammad Kaif and others.
Now, Ganguly is the president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). Also, he is part of the TV commentary panel. Recently, he was seen commentating on India’s matches at the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 in England and Wales.
