The MSK Prasad-led selection committee will have to take a call on Dhoni, who has not played for India since the ICC World Cup 2019 in England and Wales.

Dhoni had taken a break from cricket to serve in the Indian Army. On Tuesday (October 22), he was spotted in the Indian dressing room in Ranchi as the Virat Kohli-led side completed a 3-0 clean sweep over South Africa in the third Test.
