Rohit Sharma recently opened up about his experience playing under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya and his performance during the season.

Former MI captain Rohit Sharma finally broke his silence on Thursday as he talked about losing his captaincy to Hardik Pandya in this year's IPL. Rohit is among India's favourite cricketers, and his removal from the captaincy came as a big shock to a lot of his fans and the fans of the Mumbai Indians. Hardik Pandya had to face a lot of criticism and online bullying from several fans after the initial loss of the team during the season.

"See, it is part of life. Not everything will go your way. It has been a great experience," Rohit said in an interview where he was asked about his experience with the team and playing under Pandya's captaincy.

There were several rumours of Rohit and Pandya's relationship changing over the captaincy issue and how the franchise handled it. Many fans were against Pandya's captaincy as Rohit has led the team to triumph five times.

The 37-year-old does not let his guard down and implies that playing under Pandya's captaincy is like playing under any other captain. "Before, I have not been captain and I have played under a lot of captains. It is no different or new to me, said Rohit implying that he has played under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Virendra Sehwag, amongst several other cricketers.

Rohit also received criticism regarding his form and his not scoring enough runs in the last three seasons, but he turned the situation upside down with his stellar performance this year.

"Whatever is there and you go by it and then try and do what is required from you as a player. I have only tried to do that in the last one month or so," said Rohit talking about his approach as a cricketer.
