Try these 5 expert tips to increase your LinkedIn profile visibility and land your dream job.

LinkedIn is one of the largest business- and employment-centered social media platforms, with millions of users. So, it is common to feel overwhelmed and difficult to create your unique identity on the website and be noticed, especially with so many profiles competing with yours to get the attention of the recruiters.

There are a few ways to optimize your LinkedIn profile and make it shine on the algorithm to get noticed by the right employers and companies. Here are the 5 LinkedIn hacks shared by experts to make your profile attractive and visible to the recruiters.

1. Utilise LinkedIn skills

LinkedIn skills is a great way to make your profile better than the others. Experts believe that adding skills to your profile generally in the three areas: job, volunteer work, and education depicts your vast array of knowledge, experience, and proficiency. According to Forbes, several recruiters use skills to search for candidates instead of job titles and company names.

2. Engage and follow your dream companies

Make sure you are following all the pages of the company you want to be hired by. When looking for candidates, recruiters look for people who have applied for the position and are aware of the brand and the business. Engage with all the posts, as it helps with staying on the radar of the recruiters.

3. Open to work

LinkedIn provides two features to help the user seek job opportunities and attract employers. The green banner feature allows all the users on the platform to see that you are looking for work. If you are not comfortable with that, there is a private notification as well, which you can turn on and let only the recruiters know that you are available to work.

4. Upload your resume

Uploading your resume to the platform makes the process of applying for jobs easy, as it lets you apply directly from the app. Ensure you select the "share resume data with recruiters" option to increase your visibility to recruiters.

5. Check messages and notifications

There can be a lot of messages and spam on the website, but LinkedIn has now sorted it into two categories, "focused" and "others"  to make sure you do not miss any message from the recruiters.
