Zareen also opened up about being insecure about herself and being scared to step out of the house due to people's comments.
Zareen Khan who made her remarkable entry in Bollywood with Salman Khan's Veer initially experienced several comparisons between her and Katrina Kaif due to her resemblance to the actress. This got her name in the headlines, however, it soon 'backfired'. Talking about her experience in the industry, Zareen Khan opened up in a candid conversation with Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaas's podcast on YouTube.
Talking about how her resemblance to Katrina Kaif became a hurdle in her career, Zareen said, "Life after Veer was very bad for me, I got a lot of criticism. The film was a life-changing moment for me. Initially, I felt very happy that I was being compared to Katrina Kaif, but within the industry, things kept getting worse. For me, who used to be overweight, being compared to Katrina was huge, but it all backfired."
The 1921 actress added, "I felt like a lost child in the industry, plus there was hesitation. I didn't know most people here but they started to feel I was arrogant because Salman Khan launched me."
Zareen also opened up about being insecure about herself and being scared to step out of the house due to people's comments. She said, "There was a time I was even scared to step out of my house because people would comment on my clothes. That comparison went in a very negative way. I was given so many names, that at one point, I wanted to just sit at home. They all saw me as a failure."
Zareen Khan made her Bollywood debut alongside Salman Khan in Veer. She then did several Bollywood films such as Houseful 2, Love Story 3, Aksar, 1921, and several Punjabi films such as Jatt James Bond and Daaka.
