Rumour has it that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are set to be married at Lake Como in Italy soon. Her mother Soni Razdan dismissed the information as “baseless” but took the opportunity to caution Alia.

Mumbai: Following Ranveer and Deepika who married last year in November, rumour has it that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are to be married at Lake Como in Italy soon.

However, Alia’s mother Soni Razdan responded to these rumours and reportedly said, “It’s totally a baseless rumour.”

Rumours surfaced earlier this year that Alia and Ranbir will be married in 2019, but Alia’s mother was in no mood to entertain the thought She said, “Look, it is sweet of all their fans to ask everything about them. I am Alia’s mother. I really do not want to talk about my daughter’s personal life. I want her to be happy. She has my love and blessing in everything she does, beyond that I want her to live her life the way she wants to,” adding, “As a mother, I do not want to give her ‘gyaan’ because my Alia is very sensible as an individual.”

Reports had stated that since Rishi Kapoor is sick and undergoing treatment, he wants to see his son settle and hence, the two stars decided to take big step by getting engaged. Rumours also said that the two stars would be married after the release of their next movie- Brahmastra.

However, Alia’s mother gave her “a word of caution” and told media, “Alia is very young to get married. She started her career at a very young age. I am very happy with whatever she has achieved so far and as a mother, I want to see her happy. At the same time, I also would give her word of caution. She is too young to rush into any lifetime decision. While personally, I believe that when you find the right man to marry, you should get married without delaying too much. But that does not mean, you have to hurry a lot, you have to draw a fine line to take a decision.”

Alia too, had earlier responded to rumours of her wedding saying, "I'm happy being in a relationship, but that does not mean I'm tying the knot."
