An old video from IIFA 2013 awards where Shah Rukh Khan is seen breaking the glass bottle on Ayushmann's head is doing the rounds
Today on Throwback Thursday, an old video from IIFA 2013 is doing the rounds where hosts Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor call then-newcomer Ayushmann on the stage to crack some jokes. The event happened in Macau.
During the act, Shah Rukh Khan had literally broken a glass bottle on Ayushmann's head. First, both SRK and Shahid asked the Dreamgirl actor to show some acting skills. Finally, Shahid persuaded him to enact Khan's drunken scene from Devdas.
Ayushmann had tried to perform the scene, and the Kabir Singh actor interrupted and tried to show him how it is done. Not just him, King Khan also came into the whole act and started saying his popular dialogue from the movie.
In between, Khan broke the glass bottle, which was used as a prop, on Ayushmann's head. Yes, the bottle was not real but, Ayushmann seemed to have got hurt. But both the actors, continued their act, leaving the audience in splits as they pushed the newcomer (Ayushmann) out of the stage.
In the video, you can see actors Vidya Balan, Anushka Sharma, Sridevi, Anupam Kher present at the event. Ayushmann's wife Tahira Kashyap was also shocked to see the act.
