After Javed Akhtar, now actor Salman Khan is unhappy with the Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Narendra Modi. Here’s why.
Mumbai: Ever since the biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been announced it has been mired in controversies. Actor Vivek Oberoi is essaying the role of Modi in the biopic, which is scheduled to release on April 5.
Last week, Bollywood popular lyricist Javed Akhtar slammed the makers for using his name as the songwriter in the credits of the film. Now, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is also allegedly unhappy with the makers of the film. As per a report in Deccan Chronicle, a source close to Salman Khan said that he wasn't aware that his song Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon from Dus was being used in the film.
A source close to the actor said, "Salman was not even aware that the song was in the film until the clarification came out and reached his ears through the people around him. He is also very close to T-Series and understands that the music rights rest with the music company who can use the songs anywhere they want."
It is being insinuated that the nasty feud between Salman and the movie’s protagonist, Vivek Oberoi, may just be at the root cause of this issue that is bothering the Dabangg actor. The source also said that Khan shares a good rapport with PM Modi and does not want to make an issue over this.

Meanwhile, previously lyricist Javed Akhtar had taken to Twitter and said, "Am shocked to find my name on the poster of this film. Have not written any songs for it ! (SIC)" Even, veteran lyricist Sameer was also in a state of shock because his name was also in the credits for Omung Kumar B directorial film 'PM Narendra Modi'.
However, one of the producers of the movie Sandip Ssingh cleared the air about the mysterious credits and it turns out it was all in the name of giving credit where it is due. Ssingh confirmed that the biopic uses two old songs which were written Akhtar as well as Sameer.
