Mumbai: Ajay Devgn who is seen in the advertisements of a pan masala brand, has been requested by a cancer patient to stop endorsing tobacco products.

The 40-year-old cancer patient from Rajasthan, Nanakram, who apparently is also a big fan of Ajay Devgn, had around 1,000 pamphlets distributed across the state. The pamphlets mentioned how he was influenced to use the product and also made an appeal to the actor requesting him not to promote tobacco products.

Nanakram said how he regrets using such products, which he claims caused his cancer.

Nanakram’s son said, “My father Nanakram Meena started chewing tobacco a few years ago and had been using the same brand which Devgn endorses. My father was impressed with Devgn but when he was diagnosed with cancer, he felt that such a big star should not advertise these types of products”.

Nanakram, who reportedly cannot speak, sells milk, along with his two children to earn for his family.

The actor has not made any comments in this regard yet.

Ajay will soon be seen in a romantic comedy De De Pyaar De starring Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh. The trailer of the film has received good response and the songs have added to the hype. The film is set to be released on May 17.
