'Mehfil phir jamegi': Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Netflix greenlight Heeramandi 2

Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Netflix have announced the return of the popular series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar with a second season. 

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has taken the internet by storm. People can't stop talking about the magical world created by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. His gripping storytelling, along with the ethereal aesthetic of the show, has stolen everyone's attention. 

Since the release of the Heeramandi series on Netflix, the fans have been demanding a second season from the creators. And now it seems like their demands have been heard as Netflix and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have announced season 2 of Heeramandi on Instagram. 

The announcement was made on the Carter Road in Mumbai, where a swarm of 100 dancers dressed in beautiful anarkalis and ghungroos danced to the medley of songs from the Heeramandi series. Talking about the success of the series, Sanjay Leela Bhansali said, "I'm blessed by the love and appreciation for Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The season of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar was released on May 1 on Nerflix, and within the first week of the release, the show ranked in the Netflix's Top 10 TV (Non-English) list for 43 countries. It has become the most viewed Indian series globally and has been in the number one spot at the Top 10 list in Netflix India since its launch. 

It will be interesting to see what season 2 of Heeramandi will bring to the table and how Sanjay Leela Bhansali will top his masterpiece and fulfill fans' expectations with the second season.
