Vinod Dua was an Indian journalist and host. In November 1974, Vinod Dua was first seen in the television programme called ‘Yuva Manch.’ In the year 2008, he was honoured with the Padma Shri award by the Government of India for his contribution to the field of journalism.

Vinod Dua was an Indian journalist and TV host. He was born on 11 March 1954 in Delhi. He died on 4 December 2021. He completed his education from Hansraj College, University of Delhi. 

He was married to Padmavati Dua. Their daughter, Mallika Dua is an Indian comedian and actress.

During his school and college days, Vinod Dua actively participated in singing and debate competitions. In the mid-1980s, he also took part in theatre plays. 

Vinod Dua authored two plays that were performed at Sutradhar Puppet Theatre.

From 1992 to 1996, he worked as the producer of the show ‘Parakh,’ a weekly programme based on current affairs. 

Vinod Dua was honoured with the BD Goenka Award for his outstanding role in the field of journalism.

He hosted NDTV’s programme ‘Zaika India Ka’ where he visited various cities in India to taste India’s authentic food. 

In the year 2008, he was honoured with the Padma Shri award by the Government of India for his contribution to the field of journalism.

In 2016, ITM University awarded him with the Honoris Causa, an honourary degree in Doctor of Letters. 

Vinod Dua hosted The Wire’s programme ‘Jana Gana Man Ki Baat.’

The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis presented him with the Red Ink Award for Journalist of the Year 2017. 

Vinod Dua passed away on 4 December 2021 due to a chronic liver disease.
