Shah Rukh Khan is a Bollywood superstar. He is often called SRK, King Khan, King of Romance, and Badshah. He made his acting debut with the television programme called ‘Fauji’ in the year 1989. Shah Rukh’s mother was from Andhra Pradesh. His father was the cousin of General Shah Nawaz and was a distant relative of freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose.

Shah Rukh spent the first five years of his life at his grandfather’s residence in Mangalore.

In 2011, he was awarded the Pyramide con Marni Award by UNESCO.
