Fawad Khan is a Pakistani actor, model, singer, producer, and screenwriter. In the year 2007, he appeared in his first major Pakistani film called ‘Khuda Ke Liye.’ In the year 2014, Fawad made his debut in the Hindi film industry with the Bollywood film ‘Khoobsurat.’ He played the character of ‘Vikram Sing Rathore’ opposite Sonam Kapoor.

Fawad Khan is a Pakistani actor, model, singer, producer, and screenwriter. He was born on 29 November 1981 in Karachi, Pakistan. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He completed his schooling from Lahore Grammar School, Johar Town, Pakistan. He pursued Computer Engineering from National University of Computer and Imaging Sciences, Lahore. 

His father, Afzal Khan used the work in a pharmaceutical company. His mother is a homemaker. He has two sisters, Aliya and Sana. 

He is married to Sadaf Khan. They have a son, Ayaan Khan, and two daughters, Elayna Khana and Bia Khan.

Fawad’s father had a dynamic job, due to which he lived in cities like, Athens, Dubai, Riyadh and Manchester. 

Fawad has an introverted personality. He had a deep interest in the creative arts since his childhood. When he was 17 years old, he was part of an Urdu play which was an adaptation of ‘Spartacus.’ A Pakistani television director watched Fawad’s performance and offered him a role in the TV serial ‘Jatt and Bond’ (2011). This was Fawad’s debut role in a television show. 

During his college days, Fawad formed a music band called ‘Pratimaan.’ His band performed in various shows and was a hit among the audience. 

Another music band that was gaining popularity during the same time was ‘Entity.’ Fawad and the lead singer of ‘Entity,’ Ahmed worked together in the show ‘Jatt and Bond.’

Ahmed and Fawad collaborated and released the title track ‘Hami Azma’ for their show. 

On 20 September 2002, the band ‘Entity Paradigm’ gave their first live performance at Lahore Grammar School, Gulberg, Pakistan. In 2003 the band released its first music album ‘Irtiqa.’ The album included the songs ‘Fitrat,’ ‘Kahaan Hai Tu,’ ‘Hame Azma,’ and Hamesha.

In the year 2012, Fawad quit from the band to focus on his acting career.

Fawad’s acting career

In the year 2007, Fawad Khan appeared in his first major Pakistani film called ‘Khuda Ke Liye.’

He rose to fame with the Pakistani TV serials ‘Humsafar’ (2011) and ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ (2012).

Some of Fawad’s other popular shows are, Satrangi (2008), Dastaan (2010), Akbari Asgari (2011), Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan (2011), and Numm (2013).

Fawad’s first Bollywood film

In the year 2014, Fawad made his debut in the Hindi film industry with the Bollywood film ‘Khoobsurat.’ He played the character of ‘Vikram Sing Rathore’ opposite Sonam Kapoor. 

He participated in Islamic Relief USA fundraisers in San Jose and Washington DC in 2015 to raise funds for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Lahore, Pakistan. He has donated money to various charity organizations in Pakistan.

Fawad Khan’s marriage

Fawad and Sadaf Khan were friends from school days. 

Fawad officially asked for Sadaf’s hand for marriage to her parents. At the time, he was working in a band, and Sadaf’s parents rejected his marriage proposal. Fawad left the music band and convinced Sadaf’s parents for the marriage.

Fawad and Sadaf got married on 12 November 2005 in Karachi. The couple are parents to a son and two daughters. 

In 2015, Fawad and his wife participated in a tree planting program at the Shaukat Khan Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center in Peshawar, Pakistan.

Fawad and his wife launched women's clothing line ‘Silk’ in August 2012 and the brand's first collection was displayed in Lahore, Pakistan.

Fawad’s popularity

He has walked the ramp for many ace Pakistani fashion designers including Muneeb Nawaz in 2010, Omar Saeed in 2012 and Omar Farooq in 2015.

In the year 2016, he was selected as the brand ambassador for Islamabad United Team, a cricket team in the Pakistan Super League.

He worked as judge in the Pakistani TV series ‘Pepsi Battle of the Bands’ in 2017 along with Atif Aslam and Meesha Shafi.

In the year 2019, he sung the official song of Pakistan Super League ‘Khel Diwano Ka.’

When Fawad Khan was diagnosed with diabetes, he stopped playing cricket and tennis.

Fawad’s film projects

Fawad Khan is the first Pakistani to appear on the cover page of Filmfare magazine. He was featured on the cover of Filmfare magazine in September 2014 and October 2015 editions.

In 2011, he received the Satellite Award for Best Actor for the show ‘Dastaan.’

In 2014, he received the Most Entertaining Actor Award for the film ‘Khoobsurat.’

He won the Best Supporting Actor Award for the Bollywood film ‘Kapoor & Sons’ in 2017. 

In 2017, he was ranked 6th on Eastern Eye’s list of 50 Sexiest Asian Men in the World.
