Amala Akkineni is an Indian actress, dancer, and social worker. In the year 1986, she played the role of a Bharatanatyam dancer in filmmaker T Rajendra’s film ‘Mithili Enani Kaathli.’ Amala Akkineni has worked in more than 55 films in her acting career.

Amala Akkineni is an Indian actress, dancer, and social worker. She was born on 12 September 1968 in Kolkata, West Bengal. She earned a degree from Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts, Chennai. Her mother’s name is Ammatho Amala. 

She is married to actor Nagarjuna. They are parents to a son named Akhil Akkineni.

In 2015, she assumed the role of the Director of Annapurna International School, Film and Media, Hyderabad.
